Does your child have a talent for motorsport? Try it in the PRAGA ARENA sports hall.

Do your children often say at home they want to become racers like Jan Kopecký or, maybe, Martin Prokop? Take them at their word. Try out go-karts with them on the state-of the-art and biggest specialized premises in the Czech Republic. Every Sunday in the Praga Arena sports hall with professionals and professionally – in the Karting Academy.

When you watch rally racing or the ""Dakar"", it may sometimes come up to mind: ""How did those racers manage to get so high… How did they begin? Climbing to the top is not very simple, but many professional racers have something in common: They began in go-karts. Why then should your children not try it if you have such an excellent opportunity?

AUTOKLUB KARTING ACADEMY: program for beginners and young racers

Go-karts are a perfect beginning to acquire your first racing experience and habits. This is exemplified by excellent racers, such as our world champions Patrik Hájek and Jan Kopecký, who started to cut curves in go-karts. Therefore, the Auto Club of the Czech Republic established the motorsport academy for young pilots, the main pillar of which is the go-kart academy. Just as children commonly attend football training, they are given an opportunity to learn to race under the guidance of experienced coaches in a professional environment, which is the specially designed prefabricated sports hall Praga Arena. At the end of the season in the academy, parents find out whether their offspring enjoy racing and have what it needs to further develop.

Professional background of the only sports hall for indoor karting

Throughout the Czech Republic, you can find dozens of premises offering the opportunity to try riding in go-karts, both indoors and outdoors. With all due respect, however, they cannot offer the same as Praga Arena in cooperation with the Autoklub Karting Academy:

The only semi-professional hall in Europe which uses racing go-karts

The go-karts you can find in the other hire services have been manufactured for hiring: they are heavy, turn badly and are built for one thing: to last long. A hired go-card usually weighs 150 kg, while a four-stroke racing one only 85 kg. Then children can achieve on the track a totally different drive and times…

In Praga Arena, you can also be sure that children can drive new go-karts every year. This is the only track to get new machines every year.

The sports hall with a new track every 3 months

Not all arenas are the same. Praga Arena has an outdoor track connected to the indoor sports hall with a length of over 900 metres. The hall provides all the comfort you need for training or amusement: heated rooms, restaurant, LED lighting…

Every 3 months the track is rebuilt so that young racers can improve their abilities on different straights and curves.

KARTING ACADEMY - every Sunday, for children from 5 to 15

The academy offers regular weekly training led by experienced instructors, Petr Ulbert and Vojtěch Lipový, who can initiate the children and explain the rudiments of motorsport to them. They will learn overtaking manoeuvres, how to resolve critical situations on the race track and acquire mental comfort during the demanding racing atmosphere. The training also includes preparation and maintenance of the go-kart and lectures on technical principles. The academy graduates can start in karting races in the Championship of the Czech Republic and can also be selected for the program of the Auto Club of the Czech Republic supporting active talented young people.

To participate in the academy, register your children via e-mail: ika@autoklub.cz; price for a single (4-hour) training: CZK 700.

Czech Republic as the store and assembly shop of Europe? Prefabricated halls instead of field.

The Czech Republic is known as the heart of Europe. However, it is also one of the main arteries and the gateway to Central Europe. Evidently, our geographical location has an influence on our industrial position as well. 30 years have passed since the Velvet Revolution in 1989, the main aim of which was to come up to the same level as other European countries. The huge differences have certainly been reduced, but still we are rather poor relatives.
