Basic parameters of prefabricated halls

The basic prefabricated hall parameters are its dimensions and construction locality to determine the snow and wind region.

Dimensions - width, height, length

Hall width

Light prefabricated structures are executed in several width module series - 8, 10, 12, 15, 18, 20, 22, 25, 27, 30 and 32 m. If the basic width series does not suit you, the width can easily be adapted.

Hall height

Speaking of the height, we mean the height at the object wall. Most frequently, it is dictated by the activity or processes taking place in the internal space. Here, the most suitable internal height depends on the investor.

The total hall height is then given by the structure type and total width. If the total hall height is the limiting factor of the construction, due to, for instance, the land planning limit or another limit, the wall height can be resolved with regard to the total height and the structure adapted accordingly.

Hall length

The steel structure length is not limited in any way and can fully satisfy your requirements. In the entire length, the support structure is divided in the given module distance, which is subject to the above indicated parameters and snow and wind load.

If the module distance is not satisfactory in any part of the hall, by reason of the gate opening location, existing technology or for other reasons, the support structure is ""bridged"" by a structural replacement to avoid the unsuitable place.

Snow and wind load

Every country has its own division of snow regions; the Czech Republic is divided into 8 levels.

Most of the country can be classified into snow regions 1 to 5. Locally and at higher altitudes, snow regions 6 and 7 occurs; snow region 8 is found in high mountain areas and local extremes.

The snow load is specified in kN/m2 according to the pertinent snow region and represents the probable amount of snow for the given locality; that is, how much snow can lie on the object and how much it will load the roof.

Thus the snow load substantially affects the demands on the overall dimensions of the steel structure.

Similarly to the snow load, the overall dimensions of the steel structure are also influenced by the wind load. In this case, it is essentially the pressure with which wind acts on the structure.
